Llanfairfechan Traith is a disability friendly blue flag beach in North Wales. It is situated less than 5 minutes from the railway station; it has access to toilets and free parking. The beach is backed by a long promenade that is wheelchair friendly and has lots of benches scattered all the way down it. This was ideal for me because I could not walk that far without taking several rest breaks.
The coastal waters are valued for their marine life and are under the Conway Special Area of Conservation.
Nearby is shell Island and Traeth Lafan Nature reserve and a site of special scientific interest where there are wild birds
